Founded by Sir Derrick Bailey in 1968 after British United Airways withdrew from the Alderney-Guernsey route. Originally operated Britten-Norman Islanders. First airline in the world to ban smoking (1977). Nationalised by States of Guernsey in 2003. Second oldest established airline in Britain after Loganair.

Aurigny Air Services is the flag carrier airline of the Bailiwick of Guernsey, wholly owned by the States of Guernsey. It operates scheduled passenger and freight services to the Channel Islands, UK, France, and Ireland. Aurigny offers services to Exeter. In 1977, Aurigny banned smoking on all services, the first ever airline to do so. —
