First team from the Channel Islands to compete in mainland British football and first to play in the FA Cup (2013-14). Born from Guernsey's success in the 2010 FA National League System Cup, whose final was the first FA competition final held outside UK mainland.
Guernsey FC, known as The Green Lions, is a registered charity (CH382) and company limited by guarantee, founded in 2011. Playing in the Southern Combination Football League Premier Division from Victoria Park Stadium, St Sampson (formerly Footes Lane, 2011–2025), the club fields men's and women's first teams and runs a Soccer School. It was the first Channel Islands club to compete in mainland British football and the FA Cup. Notable alumni include Alex Scott and Matt Le Tissier (former club president). —
