The Guernsey Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (GSPCA) is Guernsey's animal welfare charity, founded on Valentine's Day 1873 — one of the island's oldest registered charities (number 003). From its St Andrew site, where it has been based since 1929, a team of 50 staff and 800+ volunteers cares for over 3,000 animals a year. Services include rescue, sheltering, adoption, a wildlife hospital, pet cremation, boarding, microchipping, dog training, and a 24-hour emergency warden service. —
