Launched in Guernsey in 2002 as Wave Telecom, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Jersey Telecom. Acquired rival Newtel Guernsey in 2010. Rebranded from Wave Telecom to JT in 2012. Parent company JT Group was originally founded in 1888 in Jersey.

JT (Guernsey) Ltd is Guernsey's full-service telecommunications provider, offering mobile, fibre broadband, landline, and enterprise services including cloud hosting, data centres, cybersecurity, and managed networking. Launched in 2002 as Wave Telecom, it acquired Newtel Guernsey in 2010 and rebranded to JT in 2012. A wholly-owned subsidiary of JT Group Limited, which is owned by the States of Jersey, it holds fixed-line and mobile licences from the GCRA. —
