Purchased by the Guernsey Scout Association in 1946 as a dilapidated farm with farmhouse, barn, pigsties and 12 acres of wet fields. Camping began in the early 1950s. Modern activity centre completed in 2003.
Les Maingys Activity Centre is a not-for-profit outdoor activity and accommodation venue in the Vale, owned by the Guernsey Scout Association since 1946. It offers a 32-bed hostel in a converted farmhouse and a 17-acre campsite, plus indoor facilities including a climbing wall, sports hall, and conference rooms. Activities range from archery and kayaking to high ropes and bushcraft, delivered with partner Outdoor Guernsey, welcoming Scouts, school groups, youth organisations, corporate groups, and families. —
