Story
Original farmhouse dates to 1350-1450, a traditional Guernsey longhouse. Family acquired property in early 1947 on return to Guernsey after WWII. Working farm until 1987. Guest house 1959-1990 accommodating 22 adults. WWII German gun emplacements overlook Petit Bot Bay from the property. Family concealed their radio in a hedge during the occupation. La Cotte refurbished for self-catering in 2004. Over 30 camellias in grounds blooming December-April. Gardens developed from former quarry with mature replacement trees following 1987 storm damage.
