Royal title conferred by Queen Victoria in 1891. Course redesigned by Philip Mackenzie Ross in 1949. Shares L'Ancresse Golf Links with L'Ancresse Golf Club (est. 1895). Site features historic defensive loophole towers (1770s), Bronze Age burial sites, and WW2 pillboxes.

Royal Guernsey Golf Club is a historic 18-hole links course on L'Ancresse Common in Vale, established in 1890. The Royal title was conferred by Queen Victoria in 1891. The course was redesigned by Philip Mackenzie Ross in 1949 and measures 6,139 yards, par 70, with a course rating of 71.1. Facilities include a driving range, pro shop, bar, restaurant, function room, and coaching. The club shares the links with L'Ancresse Golf Club and is affiliated to England Golf. Visitor day memberships require a current handicap certificate.
