Building originally constructed in the 1930s as the Sark Art Gallery for the Sark Art Group. Artist Mervyn Peake lived and worked in the building. Purchased by Sam Langford (retired Post Master General of Birmingham) and family on 1 July 1967 from Mr and Mrs Allen. Rosemary Aldridge became Sub Postmistress. Caroline and Tim Langford took over in January 1996. Has a Mervyn Peake Blue Plaque and an Olympic gold post box. (inferred from the source page)
