Originated in 2007 as the Voluntary Organisations Group of the Disability Forum, renamed Guernsey Disability Alliance in late 2008. Community Champion runner-up in Lloyds Bank Foundation Charity Achievement Awards 2015.
Guernsey Disability Alliance (GDA) is a registered charity and membership organisation founded in 2007, acting as the collective voice for disabled islanders, their families, and over 40 member charities. It campaigns for policy and practical change aligned with the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. Services include disability advocacy, accessibility training, access audits, and awareness campaigns. GDA is self-funded through donations and grants, holds Guernsey charity number CH041, and is incorporated as a Limited by Guarantee company. Its patron is Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson DBE. —
