Founded by Meg Mitchell who had a lifelong passion for music, dancing and acting. She appeared in GADOC productions and played piano for dance schools before founding Music Box. She passed away in January 2019 after a short illness; the school continues under her children Ellie and Peter
Music Box Dance & BananaDrama is a family-run performing arts school founded in 2005, now run by siblings Miss Ellie (Head of Dance) and Mr Peter (Head of Drama, Music, and Tech). Classes cover Ballet, Pointe, Contemporary, Jazz, Tap, Classical Greek, National, Irish, Street Dance, Yoga, Musical Theatre, Acrobatics, and Drama for ages 3 to adult, held across venues in St Sampson and Vale. The school stages an annual pantomime and variety show with in-house scripts and a live house band. —
