Founded by John William (Jack) Rihoy at age 20, initially building and maintaining greenhouses for Guernsey's horticulture industry. After WWII evacuation, diversified into general construction. Son John built first carpentry workshop at Ville Baudu, Vale.

Founded in 1924 by John William (Jack) Rihoy, initially building greenhouses for horticulture. Diversified post-WWII, incorporated as JW Rihoy & Son Ltd in 1957, relocated to Sandy Hook L'Islet in 1958. Extended Guernsey Airport in 1978. Now third-generation family business with Gavin and Jeremy Rihoy. Celebrated centenary in 2024.

Rihoy & Son is a family-owned construction company trading as JW Rihoy & Son Limited, founded in 1924. The Channel Islands' first Chartered Building Company (since 2001), it operates bespoke projects, joinery, and plant and transport divisions. Services include new builds, refurbishment, heritage restoration, bespoke joinery, design and build, and project management for residential, commercial, industrial, and public-sector clients.
