Formed 27 June 2007 when predecessor CI Traders was sold to Duke Street Capital and Europa Capital for £260m. CI Traders itself formed in 2002 from merger of Le Riches Stores (founded 1818) and Ann Street Group. Ownership reverted to Channel Islands consortium in 2016. Listed on TISE 31 May 2019 at £75m market cap, delisted 2 July 2024 after selling food retail business to Morrisons.

SandpiperCI is a Channel Islands retail franchise operator, established in 2007, running brands including Matalan, iQ (Apple Premium Reseller), Hotel Chocolat, Card Factory, and Crew Clothing across Jersey, Guernsey, and Isle of Man. In Guernsey, stores include Matalan in St Martins (GY4) and iQ in St Peter Port. The company sold its food retail operations (Morrisons Daily, Iceland, Costa Coffee) to Morrisons in 2024 and delisted from TISE the same year. —
