About

Sark Fire & Rescue Service is a volunteer-run emergency service on Sark, established in 1958. Kevin Adams has been Chief Fire Officer since 2008, having joined the service in 1989. The service provides fire response, animal rescue, cliff rescue and abseiling, and assists Sark Medical Services with patient transfers to the Flying Christine III. It also assists the RNLI lifeboat with pumping out vessels and delivers water to households during low rainfall. Its tractor-drawn appliances have off-road capability and carry 600 gallons of water. —
