Founded by Stan Brouard, a carpenter who built his first wooden glasshouse at Clemrose in Forest Parish in 1937. He enlisted in the RAF during WWII (1939-1946), then returned to Guernsey and expanded into horticultural pest and disease control in 1950, later extending to Jersey in 1962. The business diversified from 1976 onwards; crop spraying ceased in 2003. The family continues to operate the Stan Brouard Group.
