Story

Won the Bucktrout Challenge Trophy (highest marks) at the GADOC One Act Play Festival in 1959 (The Pigeon With the Silver Foot), 1961 (Cloud Over the Morning), and 1962 (The Singing Maid), all directed by Cecil Cook. Cecil Cook later had a trophy named after him at both GADOC (Joyce & Cecil Cook Trophy) and the Guernsey Eisteddfod (Cecil Cook Memorial Trophy).

The Vauverteens were a Guernsey amateur dramatic group active in the late 1950s and early 1960s. They won the Bucktrout Challenge Trophy at the GADOC One Act Play Festival three times — in 1959 with The Pigeon With the Silver Foot, in 1961 with Cloud Over the Morning, and in 1962 with The Singing Maid — all directed by Cecil Cook. —
