Originally sat with only the Seigneur and Tenants from 1579. People's Deputies added in 1954. Reformed from feudal to democratic governance in 2008, having been the last feudal state in Europe. Building was originally the Boys' School.

Chief Pleas of Sark (also known as Cheurs Pliaids) is the unicameral legislative assembly and parliament of the Island of Sark, first convened in 1579. Reformed from feudal to democratic governance in 2008, it comprises 20 members: 18 elected Conseillers and two ex-officio members — the Seigneur and the Seneschal. It administers the island's laws, government, development control, and licensing, and joined the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association in 2025.
