Story

Evacuated to Great Hucklow, Derbyshire during German occupation 1940-1945. Four alumni awarded Victoria Cross. German liberation announcement made from school steps in 1945.

Elizabeth College is an independent co-educational school in St Peter Port, founded in 1563 by Elizabeth I. It offers education from pre-school to sixth form for pupils aged 2½ to 18, with approximately 900 pupils across three schools. Co-educational since 2021, it is affiliated with HMC and IAPS, holds Church of England status, and runs a Combined Cadet Force programme. Recent results include 96% GCSE grades 9–4 and 78% A-level grades A*–C.
