Story

Junior School relocated to Beechwood site in January 1949. The Victorian house was originally the country residence of the Carey family, later a nursing home, then occupied by German officers during WWII. Acorn House (Pre-School and KS1) opened 1996; Pre-School established 1999.

Elizabeth College Junior School (ECJS, also known as Beechwood) is an independent co-educational preparatory and nursery school for children aged 2.5 to 11, part of Elizabeth College in St Peter Port. Established at the Beechwood campus in 1949, it operates across three sites — Beechwood (Years 3–6), Acorn House (Reception–Year 2), and a Pre-School — with capacity for around 330 pupils and over 40 co-curricular activities.
