About
Guernsey Language Commission LBG is a charity and a Guernsey company limited by guarantee, registered with the Association of Guernsey Charities and on the Guernsey Charity Register as CH1016. It aims to halt and reverse the decline in the number of fluent Guernesiais speakers. The Commission, which came into being by States of Guernsey resolution in August 2020 and was registered as a Guernsey charity in January 2023, is governed by a Board of Commissioners, currently eight, and led by director Prof Julia Sallabank. —
