Story
Site dates to the 6th century when the Priory of Saint Magloire established a monastery. Home to Sark's Seigneurs since 1675. Gardens restored to their 1860 design. The 22nd Seigneur Michael Beaumont died in 2016, succeeded by Major Christopher Beaumont (23rd Seigneur).
La Seigneurie House and Gardens is a 4.9-acre historic attraction on Sark, set within the grounds of a 16th-century manor house that has been the residence of the Seigneur of Sark since 1675. The gardens feature a walled garden, maze, stumpery, Victorian vinery, two chapels, dovecote, Napoleonic signalling tower, amphitheatre, and a David Austin rose collection. The garden holds RHS Recommended status. Open Easter to end of October; a licensed bistro, gift shop, and plant sales are on site. —
