The Watermill on Alderney is one of the oldest surviving sites on the island. The earliest record of the Mill is circa 1236, with the present remains of a mill rebuilt in 1796. The Mill and adjoining lands were given to The Alderney Society, who continue to renovate and preserve it. The Watermill offers information boards about ongoing work and features a 17ft (5m) waterwheel. —
