Sark School is Sark's single island-funded school, providing primary education for children from age 3 (optional) or 4 (compulsory) to age 13. It operates with small, mixed-age classes from Preschool to Year 8. The school is accountable to Sark's Education Committee and is governed by a Board of Governors, chaired by Jan Guy. From September 2026, Sue Coughlin will serve as executive head teacher, in a one-academic-year pilot arrangement with Guernsey. —
